Portraiture

I love creating portraits; whether it’s an executive portrait, a portrait of mother & child or documenting an arts group my goal is always the same, to reveal my subject(s) most engaging features & to create a memorable photograph.

Location portraiture is a great way to reveal a bit more about a subjects’ character than any studio portrait could ever reveal.

It’s also a great way to coordinate multiple portraits or a large group portrait at one location.

Editorial

Editorial assignments typically begin with a completed story but sometimes I’ll get a rough outline & shadow a writer as we both uncover & reveal subtle details about our subject together.

Editorial assignments are really fun as I get to meet interesting people with some unique stories & I’m usually given wide latitude to create photographs that I think will push the story further.

I always prefer to have enough lead time to research my subject(s) before I shoot but I can turn around a photo story in 24 hours when absolutely necessary.

Events

Event photography is a great way to capture the excitement of an event with guests looking their best & be able to share those photos with the guests, fans of the event & sponsors after the event.

Professional photographs are a great reason to send out a post event press release announcing the success of an event as well.

Cross Media

This category is for photography projects at the intersection of still & motion photography.

I would call it video but I offer much more than traditional video services. I use digital still cameras to capture motion in time-lapse photography for contractors. I create HD broadcast quality videos using still photographs & I also shoot HD video commercials & print campaigns.
